QUOTE (BeCarefuleofWhatYouAskFor @ Jul 14 2010, 11:22 AM) *
I'm a tool for being honest? LMAO.
I'm not the bad guy here Norma. What you have failed to recognize is what myself and management has repeatedly told you crew members, our structure is a low cost structure[moderator edit: upper management pay is based on the "Top" airlines. See stockholder report]. Bringing in a union represents certain risks. It represents risks to stockholders, management, and even the employees. It represents a change and an unknown.

Historically, our employees have valued the close relationship, open door, and trust it has with management and this is evident by it rejecting union every time. That's a fact. Only a few of you say otherwise, but this time isn't going to be the exception. Think about it, there are only about a half dozen of you that post on here since most crew members have more interesting things to do.
And it holds true that only ATL is on the main page. I've come to this site for almost a year now and all I've seen are sob stories from ATL. Don't bother with the tissue, I'm not crying. ATL doesn't have the best performance either and therefore BWI, MKE, MCO, and all the other stations have to suffer with poor showings on the on-time departure showings. Maybe ATL is wanting a union so it can continue to loaf. The other stations just don't need that type of attitude and I would hope you would agree.

Everything I have said is true. I'm not saying you want to hear it, but the simple truth is that management has treated crew members with respect. Otherwise, there would be a union. When management drops the ball and disrespects crew members then they will vote in a union. It's about respect, not pay, not benefits, not short staffing. Tim can fan the flames over the low pay and short staffing but there has always been short staffing. Your pay has always been among the lowest, and you KNEW that when you got hired. That hasn't changed and nothing is new. Crew members signed on to help build this airline into a great airline and that's why they stay. It's all about being a part of a great company. The crew members are still building this great airline. That's why crew members have continuously rejected union because of the respectable working relationship they have with management. For you or anyone else to say otherwise is foolish and unsubstantiated. Hasn't there always been short staffing? Hasn't there always been the lowest pay? This isn't new Norma. Crew members give extra and take home less but at the end of the day they love their jobs because they are treated fairly. Management has continuously responded and regardless of how much airTran grows, it will always keep an open door with its crew members, prune the deadwood [moderator eidt: fire good employees], give the utmost respect for employees, and serve this great airline.
[Moderator edit: You are certainly entitled to your opinion, however you are incorrect when you speak about this website. We have videos from plenty of stations, not just ATL. ATL wanted to kick it off so consider ATL first at bat. We also are obtaining videos from previous manager[s] who want to share with crew members the deceit within its management ranks. Obviously, those manager[s] no longer work at airTran. Those videos will be shown at 'the proper time'. Also, your mention of the word 'serve' is telling. It's fairly certain to me that management utterly disrespects crew members at ALL stations because it wants crew members to 'serve' the airline, as opposed to 'work' for the airline. Also, save all your drivil about low cost. The stockholders report shows that the salary of the management at airtran is BASED, yes, BASED, on the salaries of management at all the "Top" airlines. What we have here is an upper management team pimping off and exploiting human beings in the most drastic fashion. When management gets rid of 'deadwood' it just firesoff human beings randomly to thin ranks. Most of the time, those taking the stray bullet are good workers and not the 'lazies' you refer to. Your post has to go down as the biggest delusional post ever.]

Hahahahahahahaha! Management has treated crewmembers with respect? If that was the case then the union guys would have never came here to begin with! We as crewmembers see all the disrespect that we can stand! We all know the statistics of pay and benefits of Airtran and other airlines! We are at the bottom of the scale and still as crewmembers manage to win this company awards! We deserve better and we will be demanding better come December when we get this election process rolling! We are airline employees and we will be treated as such! You and Stupidvisor are always complaining that Slavetrans business model is set up for underpaid employees! Well, I guess we will just have to restructure that business model then huh?! lol Fight on! Right on! Vote Strong!
